Are you ready to use the gift of wisdom?
Why do we need to talk about bible wisdom? Wisdom is the most powerful gift available to believers. The gift of wisdom provides the skill, shrewdness, and forethought to reach the supernatural provisions of God through Jesus Christ.
Godly wisdom is a lamp to our feet. It lights and directs our path. It is the unction of the Holy Ghost. The unction to speak, and say something. To get the word into the earth’s atmosphere. The gift of wisdom brings and anointed power that teaches how to use our knowledge about a situation. God’s wisdom shows us how to apply the knowledge so that we receive the desires of our hearts.
The Holy Spirit Guides Us
Fittingly so, the Holy Bible is the most powerful positive available to man. This power provides God’s direction to individuals willing to receive. The skillful application of the Word of God is called wisdom. Through the Holy Ghost, we find purpose.
The Power of the Holy Spirit guides us like a light shining on a dark road. When the Holy Spirit is leading us, he will cause us to look up a scripture. In addition, he has given me a word or two that I looked up using google. The scriptures and the leading are just two ways that I have been led before.
What's the difference between wisdom and understanding
Consequently, the definitions of wisdom and understanding increase our understanding. They help us know the difference between the two words. First wisdom.
The Strong’s translations for is H2451. This translation means that a wise person has skill, discernment, and forethought. All three of these qualities require insight.
On the other hand, understanding is the ability to explain an idea. Therefore, it is through the foresight of wisdom that you can explain an idea.
Open and see that the gift of wisdom directs our path.
What is the gift of the holy spirit understanding
According to the bible, there are 9 gifts of the spirit. Three of the gifts are revelation gifts. In 1 Corinthians 12:7-10 Paul …states “They are gifts of the Holy Ghost, manifested through individual believers as the Spirit of God wills. The gifts of the Spirit aren’t just given for the individual, but they are given in order to profit the whole local assembly or local body of believers… There are revelation gifts. Spiritual gifts that reveal something: The word of wisdom, word of knowledge, and the discerning of spirits (Hagin, K.). The gifts and understanding of them is explained in greater detail in “The Holy Spirit and His Gifts” a documentary and book.
how do we acquire wisdom?
When the gift of wisdom directs our path, everything works together. The Bible tells us that all things work together for our good (Rom. 8:28). So then, how do we acquire wisdom? Sometimes it seems like nothing is working. I have found that is when the angels are working the hardest. Since the bible tells us to ask for what we want, I often start with a need. I ask God how to get whatever I need. I know that seems pretty simple, but why ask for something you don’t need.
In 2016, I started having a lot of back pain. Now I knew that the pain was stemming from stress. The pain was so intense that I could not sleep at night. I had received therapy for my back many years earlier. Nonetheless, I could not remember the exercises. So I ask the Lord to help me remember the back exercises.
Wisdom makes the scriptural directions literal
My need was for healing. Using the gift of wisdom to direct my path, I wrote my prayer. The prayer began with the scripture of Mark 11:23-24. First, the scripture tells us to speak to the “mountain.” Then it tells us to tell “the mountain” to move. Next, we tell the mountain to go. Finally, verse 24 tells us to believe we receive. Therefore, I named the mountain, “backpain” and told it to leave. You can see the actual prayer below. When I prayed, I did not know when or how my prayer would be answered. But I knew it would be answered.
The Response of the holy Spirit
After I prayed this prayer. The Holy Spirit gave me Romans 4:19 as scripture to read and confess. “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body… Abraham staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. As time has passed, I have learned how to respond when I get a scriptural answer from the Lord.
In this case, I believed that he was telling me to have faith. Also, to believe in the promises that God gave us through Abraham. I remember looking up scriptures about the promises. I found the covenant. Before that day, I never thought of the promise and the covenant being the same thing. My understanding increased on that day.
I remember reading the scriptures telling me to get wisdom. The direction came from the holy spirit. I found that the more I read, prayed and stayed before the Lord, the more I increased in understanding. I just continued to do what I knew to do. At some point my reading of the word, became a confession of the word. Nevertheless, everything I asked for in that prayer was offered or given to me. As I spoke with the doctor, I learn how various treatments work. I chose what worked for me. Most importantly, I used God’s wisdom to find the best option for me.
How my prayer was answered
My Prayer from January 2016
I wrote this prayer and included as much of the word of God as possible. Each day I confessed it for weeks. As I declared it each day, I continually gave God thanksgiving for answering my prayers.
Father, I pray that you heal my back and my spine. That you strengthen my back muscles. I pray that you increase the cartilage and synovial fluid. I pray that you remove the stuff causing the pinched nerve. No matter what, Father, I acknowledge you. Lead and direct my path. I believe your leading is health to my nerves and sinew (tendons, ligaments, and muscles). It is marrow and moistening to my bones (Prov 5:6).
I demand that my bones produce perfect marrow. My blood wards off sickness and disease. I declare that my bones refuse any offense of the curse (Prov 16:24). They permeate (saturate me) with the Spirit of Life through Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:24). Therefore, I call them normal in Jesus’ name. I thank you, Lord, that your word is health to my flesh (Prov 4:22).
Henceforth, I make a demand on our bones and joints to function perfectly. There will be no pain or swelling in my bones and joints. My bones refuse to allow anything that will hurt or destroy their normal function (Prov 17:22). Therefore, healing and absolute immunity from all diseases is mine. Likewise, Lord, perfect soundness according to Act 3:16 is mine through Jesus Christ. The manifestation of faith and righteousness belongs to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Conclusion
In conclusion, according to Proverb 4:7, the best thing about Wisdom is Wisdom herself; good sense is more important than anything else. This verse leads us to define wisdom as good sense. In addition to acquiring wisdom, I shared my starting point. Sometimes, we want to pray but don’t know where to start.
Consequently, an illustration specifies how wisdom may look and sound. The comparison of the difference between wisdom and understanding adds more insight. Therefore, a statement from 1 Corinthians tells the three revelation gifts as stated in the Bible. The one expert is Paul, so we read his statement about the gifts of the Spirit. The actual statement from 1 Corinthians brings clarity to the exact verse concerning the gifts. I placed the scripture for the new learners. Finally, I complete the writing with the actual pray and what I received from the prayer.
