How Do Faithful Prayers Still 2020 Situations and Blunders

Can faithful prayers that still 2020 situations and blunders be prayer by someone like you and me?

For many Americans 2020 has been a whirlwind. This year 2020, has been a year of problems, unthinkable situations, hardships, deaths, and financial loss. The fear of uncertainty, unemployment and lack-of-means has created massive lines at food banks and churches.

Yet, 2020 was prophesied as a year of supernatural increase. Some prophets said 2020 would be a year of restoration and prosperity of faithful believers. Even with all that has happened, I believe that God is still faithful, even now in 2020 and restoration is on its way.

What Can a Prayer request do for you?

Prayer provides a lot of comfort for a lot of people. You may think, what can prayer do? Well, first prayer relieves stress. Then it offers insight into hopeless situations. If you pray according to the direction of the Bible, prayer answers every state of affairs that cause a dilemma. Prayer is the answer because prayer gives you the answer to every problem you face.

Nevertheless, this state of hardship we face today in America, has happened before to a group of people in the Bible. Consequently, their hardships were worse then for those in the Bible than it is for many of us in America today. The Bible tells us that there was famine, violence and a loss of income during the days of Noah. Those times were hard, the Bible called them perilous times.

In addition, the Bible tells us that we will see those perilous times as we near the end of the church age. During those times there were:

  • critics and mockers, just as there are now
  • those who believed in other Gods
  • those who hated you just because you believe in God

The fact that all of those things happened in the Bible, and all of these things are happening now in 2020, makes word of God in the Bible more of a fact than fiction. Even more so it shows us what happens when we trust God to make a way.

A Comparison of Situations and Prayer Requests

First, let’s look at the situations faced by the children of Israel. After that let’s compare those situations to what is happening today. Then we can see if God is still faithful in 2020. The children of Israel continually prayed and asked God to get them out of Egypt. Egypt represented extreme hardship. They were overworked and not paid, today many people are overworked and underpaid.

Second, they were considered to be property and not human but slaves. Today, in 2020 human trafficking is more prevalent than ever before. But the difference was that they prayed continually. Most unfortunately, we often pray when something happens. I am sure it seemed like God did not hear their prayers. But, Psalms 34:15 says “The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.”  I believe that God heard their cry then, and he hears our cry now.

Now let’s look at the hardships some Americans face today. On March 13, 2020 every person and job that was not deemed as “essential” was forced to stay at home. Schools scrambled for ways to provide classwork. Government buildings closed their doors to the public. Insurance companies and other service-related businesses sent all of their worker’s home. America was shutdown.

situations and blunders that plague 2020

Violence became more rampant. Police shootings and killings of innocent people occurred on a daily basis. America has become a divided nation. People have become more cold-hearted. Consequently, these occurrences are prophesized in the Bible. Which says that men’s hearts will wax cold and people will become more cold-hearted (Matthew 24:12).

People don’t trust what they hear about the Covid-19 pandemic. Many refuse to comply with governmental regulations concerning wearing masks. Nonetheless, the situation concerning the Covid-19 Pandemic continues to grow as we move toward the end 2020. It may seem hopeless.

When the children of Israel were backed-up against the Red Sea, I am sure it seemed hopeless. But, when our backs are against the wall, we pray our most fervent prayers. If you are a man or woman of prayer, I am sure this is not the first time you have had to pray your way through a situation. But most of all you discovered that God is still faithful, even now in 2020.

Third, sometimes, when we are going through a storm, it seems like the problem will never end. Satan may even find a way to whisper lies about God in your ears. Satan will lie to you and constantly attack your mind. He will try to make you not trust the faithfulness of God. He will try to tear down your trust and cause you to become fearful. But I am here to tell you with all confidence, that God can and will make a way for those who trust in him.

If you will trust that God is faithful, then he can still be faithful to you through all that has happened in 2020. I heard the testimony of a young woman who had been working for a public school district. The woman stated that she left a corporate job because of her child. She began working at the school part time.

Faithful prayer requests bring favor and provision

Fourth, remember that your tithe is to God and it is your time, talent and money. In this case, she had no money, but she gave time and talent. On occasion she would sub, work in the cafeteria or help with students who needed reading support. When the school’s shutdown she had no income. She continued to pray and thank God for being her provider and for making a way. A week or so after the schools closed, they decided to pay non-teaching, full time employees’ unemployment.

But this young woman was a part time employee. She realized that she was part time with the school, but full time with God. So, she continued to pray. A few days later, she received a phone call. She was told that because she always helped out at the school, they were going to also pay her unemployment. I believe that God was faithful to her with all the things that had happened in 2020.

A Faithful God of Promises, Prayers and Provisions

I believe that answered prayer, is an art and a science. I study with about five different pastors and they all do things a little differently. However, they all do about five things the same. The first couple of those five things are hearing the word and speaking it by reading it out-loud.

Next, they tell God that they receive the promise of that word. After that they believe it enough to act on the word that God has given them. Therefore, if you have a need, you may want to use this formula and stand on the word of God until you receive your petition.

The Rhema word shows the faithfulness of god

Prayer also includes the rhema word of God. The rhema word is God’s response to us. It tells us what words to speak and actions to take. When we respond to his guidance and start saying what he directs us to say, and do what he says do, things change. Remember that faith comes by hearing and hearing (Romans 10:17). I believe the second hearing is the rhema word.

On the contrary, some people don’t continue to confess the word until they get the second hearing which is the rhema word of God. It is only by the second hearing that God provides more precise direction. The rhema word requires our action. I know, that if you trust God to this point, he will show you that He is still be faithful with all that has happened in 2020.

                                                         Recap
